3-Point Hitch 3 Point Drags Motor Down

On my TC29D when I lift the 3 point all the way up it drags the motor down. If I back it down just a tad the motor runs fine. I am sure it is an adjustment but with moving my manual is not the easiest to find right now. Any suggestions by anyone?

very likely at top of normal travel it is not unloading and thus further attempt to travel is then deadheading the pump and forcing the relief to open.

I'm not up on the jap subcompacts.. but I certaintly have seen SOME units of many different flavor tractors ) that use external control linkage that is adjustable with rods and feeler type setups.

very likely your out of range movement / linkage adjustment is the issue.

ps.. take a look at the exploded parts diagram on the NH parts site to see if you see any external control linkage. I'm at work on a phone.. so not so easy or i'd do it for you.

Alternately. smartman mr RickB likely knows right off the top of his head. He's a NH guy.

Also make sure your draft control if off, it it's equipped with it.

Go back to page 15 of this site and look for TC 29 hydraulic problem and the page from the operators manual is displayed. Simple adjustment and its cured.

Yeah, Soundguy said it. Pretty standard stuff. Find the feedback linkage and loosen the lock nut. Start up and raise the 3PH to the top. Working quickly, adjust the linkage till the bog goes away, and give it one extra turn before tightening the lock-nut. (Longer or shorter depends on push or pull linkage connection .. one way or the other.) Until then all you lose is a bit of lift height by backing off. No harm, no foul.

Thnx much everyone. I will get the manual out in the next few days. I was thinking the linkage may need adjustment.
