I appreciate all the suggestions. I think I got it figured out. That jamb nut hard stop I mentioned above with the purple arrow pointing to it is the stop, but if I adjust it in too far, the MMM won't achieve it's full 6" raised height. Once mowing season is over and I don't need the deck anymore, I'll be able to adjust it so the top leak isn't able to top itself out against the chassis on the tractor.
Installing a stop on the actual up/down lever for the 3-pt would not limit this 3-pt's travel for this machine. It would only limit the speed at which the 3-pt goes up/down.
I think the crux of the issue is these units may have a smaller geometry to the 3-point as mentioned by @ptsg . I would be nice if this was mentioned somewhere in the specs if this is indeed true.
Regardless, it will work fine for me and probably work fine for most.
