3-Point Hitch for JD 630

I'd like to add a 3-point hitch to my '58 JD 630. There is one listed on Craig's List about an hour and a half away from me. Asking $1200.

Can I get some opinions on whether this is a fair asking price and/or other possible sources I could look at to find what I'm looking for?

I don't know that they are worth that much but that one looks nice. No welds that I can see with the original top link and elephant ears. If you want it you better buy it, they don't come around often. Maybe you can get the seller down a little with cash.

From viewing CL ad photo's it appears center link is correct for a 630. I can't determine from photo's if both sway blocks are present. Another factor would be if draft links telescope out when pulled out or if they're rusted solid. Price is in line with what I've seen other similar JD 2 cyl 30 series factory 3 pt's listed

Jim, if draft links are rusted solid, is that something a guy can break loose, or is that unlikely? If you can't break it loose, I assume you can just use it as is, yeah? From talking to seller, both sway blocks are there.

Yes non-telescoping can be utilized just makes for more difficult attaching 3 pt implements. I've read where people have started a large bonfire around non-telescoping draft links then after fire goes out & cools then draft links will slide out.
