3-Point Hitch 3 Point Hitch pulsing on new JD 3032E

I have owned my JD 3032E with the Frontier LP1172 land plane for less then a month. I noticed the other day when I turned on the tractor and raised the land plane off the ground it was pulsing. It was going up an inch or so and down an inch or so over and over. It seems to stop eventually but now when I turn off the tractor with the land plane up eventually the land plane will be on the ground as the 3 point wont hold it up. This was not the case until I noticed the pulsing issue. Any thoughts?

May need to adjust the position control linkage. From your description it is hunting for position. I would have the dealer fix it since it is brand new. You should always document problems with a new machine just in case you have bigger problems later on, keep the paper trail.

Definitely have the dealer look at it. On a new machine, the 3ph should stay up for quite some time without leaking down even with an implement on it...like overnight at least (not that it's good for the system). As the seals and other parts wear you'll find they will leak down much quicker, but still work fine when the engine is running.

Check the tractor over for leaks and loose hardware. I usually just check them with a wrench, if it turns and it's not an adjustment, it's loose. Just don't shear the bolt off. If you've checked everything then take it to the dealer or have them come look at it. We had this happen on a 5400 and there is a either a pressure valve or switch, to keep it stable but on the 5400 the tractor had to be split. It wasn't my tractor but a friends so I don't remember all the details. It will be covered through your warranty if you got the tractor new.
