I have to remove my 3point hitch from my bx1860, in order to install the grass catcher. How do I remove the lower links from the bar that goes through both links and the frame, near the rear wheels?
Thanks,
George:confused:

I just walked in to ask the exact same question. Need to remove mine from the BX2660 to run a slick-wire unroller on the back.

Talk about a coincidence. :)

Talk about coincidence. I have the same question about my B2620.
The first 2 connections are easy pin removal.
However that lower link is trapped on the flap that swings up or down.
If that round shaft needs to come out it appears to be so long a rear wheel would need to be removed.

It's a Chinese... make that Japanese finger puzzle

Are all the BXs the same? (That's how much of a noob I am). If so:

That center plate has a pin and clip in the middle that keep it located on the long bar. Remove that and lift the plate off. Now you can slide the arms toward the middle. There are a pair of large bushings that sit in the frame and locate the bar. Those are removable. Slide them toward the middle. Now you can just slide the bar a little to one side or the other and just tip it out.

If all BXs _aren't_ like my '24. Never mind...

Sounds the same as my 25.

On my BX2200 you just need to take the short lift arms off but still use the PTO arms. I assume you are using the newer Kubota grass catcher? How does that mount?

On my B3030, the round horizontal shaft cannot be removed without taking off a rear wheel. However, to remove the 3 point hitch, I just loosen the set bolt pin which allows me to slide the shaft far enough to the right to remove the left stabilizer. Then I slide the shaft to the far left and remove the right stabilizer. The entire hitch gets removed - except for the sliding shaft which I just bolt back in place.

Thanks Von-Mil

I think the process you use on your B3030 should work on my B2620.

I use the B2620 for loader work and MMM. I don't need the 3ph arms at this time.

I have an L3830 for 3ph work like snowblower and post hole digger.

You do need the 3PH to raise and lower the MMM, unless you have a stub shaft for the left side. My 2920 has a BH, and I have to take the 3 PH off whenever the BH is mounted. When I do that I lock the MMM up with the cutting depth knob and then remove the 3 PH. It's not a big deal, maybe 10 minutes. As mentioned you slide the pivot pin left and then right to pull the arms off....you may need a crowbar to pry the pivot pin over, it gets hard to move at times.

This is also how I've done it on my B3200. However, after doing it a couple of times, I figured out that the shaft could actually be 'centered' and I can now take both sides off without re-adjusting the shaft from side to side. It's tight, but beats having to loosen the shaft each time I attach the backhoe.
