the 3 point hitch on my b7100hst is stuck in the up position, the previous owner had a belly mower on it and i do not believe he used it much. also there is a leak close to where the mid pto is seems to be approx. one drop every 3 seconds.any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am only familiar with the bx2200 and that has a drop control valve just below the seat. If you have one just crank it open and the 3pt should drop. Also, try putting some weight on the arms and see if that works....good luck!

the control valve under the seat is oblong and has an arrow on one side I;m not sure what that means, i tried to manually apply i little pressure while messing with the valve but not sure in which direction to turn it /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have a B6100 and I believe it has the exact same set-up. Pointing the valve to the right (while sitting on the seat) points the arrow to a bolt, which is actually a plug for remote hydraulics, using this valve. Pointing to the left allows hydraulic fluid to flow to the 3ph and hopefully allow the 3ph to drop.
I have a Kubota owner's manual that shows this. Let me know and I can scan a pic of it and send it to you. The pic will likely be crappy, as the manuals are just photo copies of a photocopy, or so they look like.( Just like Yamaha's mega-dollar service manuals!) /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The first time I rotated the control valve the O'ring on the end of the shaft broke. Had to take whole plate off to replace O'ring that I bought at local hardware.
The 3PH linkage on a B7100HST is used to raise and lower MMM. I believe there is a knob that controls how fast 3PH will lower. It may be closed to far. Open it by turning CCW.

I tried everything mentioned here and the 3pth will not drop. the control valve with the arrow clicks into place in 3 positions straight up, to the right and to the left, i have tried all three while pressing down on the 3pth and it will not move. any help will be appreciated.

has it ever worked since you aquired the tractor?? or has it been stuck in the up position since you first tried it??
I assume the belly mower isn't on now, but it is possible that some of the framework for raising and lowering the MMM might be binding or stuck and the problem isn't hydraulic.

when i took the mmm off i was able to raise the hitch but not lower it. I believe i removed all parts of the mmm frame work but am not sure i only removed the mmm under the tractor i will check to see if it could be binding else where. worse case scenario i will take a picture off the rear of the tractor for your input. thank you

A pic underneath the tractor from rear wheels to front might help. If there is a bind, it is usually in that area.
After using my MMM hard and then raising it to top position, I have had the framework catch and it would not lower until it was jostled over some bumps as I was transporting, freeing it up.
