Jinma 2240
I have a Jinma 2240 Workhorse with a TY295 Diesel engine built in 1998. I'm having hydraulic issues with the 3-point hitch. I can raise and lower it but when i put a load on it won't lift. There is plenty of fluid. I keep reading about a knob with a set screw under the seat but can only find the fill port. Any suggestions?

You might get better response with this in the Chinese tractors section down in Other Brands. I don't know Jinmas but will try to answer generically.

The knob that is often under the seat is the bleed down valve. It controls the rate at which the 3pt hitch lowers when the lever to raise or lower the 3pt is set so the hitch goes down. It won't affect the hitch staying up when a load is on it and you're not operating the lift control.

It sounds like your lift cylinder seals may be shot. Or if you have position or draft control for the 3pt, that may be malfunctioning.
