Current Kubota 7610 - Previous B6200/2500 hrs.
I purchased a new B7610 last November. The tractor performs well, but I notice that, although the three point hitch holds fine when I'm using it, it always drops to its lowest position overnight. I don't remember my B6200 doing this. Any suggestions on what to check for? Thanks.

Kubota (and the dealer) will claim that this is acceptable performance of the 3ph.

Sounds like there is slow leakdown in fluid in the quarter inching valve.

Sage07 -

I always put all my implements (FEL / 3PH) to their lowest settings after I shut the engine off for the night - move all the control levers so that all pressure is dicharged - and nothing can move accidentally...so I can't say if it bleeds down overnight...however:

When I'm using my B7610 - I will *bump up* the 3PH every @ 15 minutes - and it goes up between 1-2"....I don't remember if it's always been that much - but I seem to think that it has always dropped slowly (Note: I have a forks / counterweight on my 3PH - don't think it would necessarily drop much / at all if no weight)

I seem to recall a number of other B7610 (B7510's too?) owners reporting here that they have seen this 3PH "bleed down". Doesn't cause me any problems though...so I haven't raised it as an issue w/ my dealer: no hydraulic seal is *perfect* as far as I'm concerned.

Cheers,

Dan

The 3 pt. speed control knob on the b 7500 will close the valve and lock the hitch if you turn it all the way down?

The 3PH on my B7510HST does the same thing. I usually have the box blade hanging on the back for ballast when using the FEL. I have to check occasionally to make sure the BB is not hanging too low because my 3PH will slowly bleed down. Don't think there's any way to stop this using the tractor controls. Annoying, but not a fatal flaw. However, the LA302 FEL stays put without any bleed down, at least for a few days.

Sage & flusher, there should be a round knob between your feet, ( unless kubota cut it loose) this controls the actual speed of the 3 pt. hitch. If you raise the hitch all the way and turn the knob all the way down, it should lock the hitch in place.
