I notice on some tractors the 3-point lower lift arms can be connected to arms that go up to rockshaft either thru a slotted hole or a fixed round hole by relocating the pins. I guess the slotted connection is supposed to float somehow. How should it be set up for using a 3-pt moldboard plow?

My guess is that since the infurrow side has to be set shorter it would be better to use the fixed attachment points, but I'm not sure.

I wouldn't use the slot, I always use the fixed hole. Seems like you would have poor depth control on a 3 - point attachment.

Our tractor has the slot, but never seen an attachment that calls for it.
