Made a quick video, hopefully it is helpful to anyone considering a 3 point splitter. I picked this one up for $250. I added the "table" area at the back to keep logs from falling down. I added a control rod coming from the tractor hydraulic block to the area where you stand. This is a simple method but only works for this one model tractor.

Like the table you added to it.

Buddy of mine has a 7 ton on his Kubota. Pretty nice to be able to lower it down for the big (100lb ish) rounds, then move it back up to hip level to split the rest.

My 3 point splitter is one of my best buys! My wife agree's and loves to run it!

It's fast and easily pushes everything through the 4-way wedge.

I hope that's not full tractor rpm..that thing is slow as hell.

Sounds like low RPM. It is extremely slow though.

Yours looks like it has a PTO driven pump, if so I suspect it is considerably faster.

Nice set up... Fortunately you have it on a tractor with enough extra gallons per minute to give a decent cycle time...

I have been involved to make parts for some homemade 3pt splitters that worked well other than the compact tractors they were mounted on didn't have enough flow to make them work well...

I have one without a PTO pump too, there's a huge difference in speed, but it does work well even though it's on the slow side.

I have a 3 point mounted splitter as well run off the tractor hydraulics. It is not fast, but it allows me to split, stack, and get the next piece to split. Reality is, the splitter is usually waiting for me when I do that sequence.
