3-Point Hitch 3 point noise on a GC 2300

I'm up to a whopping 3 hours on my new GC2300. I've found that the 3 point hitch makes an awful noice if I'm trying to raise it slowly. It may even do it a little when I lower it slowly. Is it "cavitation" in the hydro system? Anyone else experience this?

No such noise on my 2310. Does the noise only happen when the tractor is cold? If the 3pt under load at the time? Did you check the fluid level - sight glass ? Have someone raise and lower the 3PH and watch the sight glass and see if anything is happening. Just a few thoughts.

I have 175hrs on my 2310 and until you brought it up I have never noticed it. It sounds like the valve blocks the pass through flow before opening the flow to the 3pt. That is more then likely designed that way so the 3pt. does not drop before going up. The motor does load down when it happens and then unloads when you go past that spot and the noise stops. I don't think it is a problem because it is not raising when it is making the noise. Just pull the handle and raise the 3pt.

I've got 65 hrs on my 2300 and don't hear such a sound.

Call your dealer, it could be a lot of things, but it needs to be checked before it gets worse. The three point hitch should not make any "funny" noise when raised or lowered.

I've heard this to. I never thought anything of it.
