I don't think it is a sham, Deere didn't create the standard did they? If anything it would be great if every manufacturer would fall in line with this standard. That would in turn give Deere some competition. I don't have a Deere Quick hitch, I just do it the old fashion way. Besides, if you have to adjust the quick for each piece of equipment, it is no longer a quick hitch. I know that many many on here have actually modified their equipment to work with whatever hitch they bought. Modify the implement once instead of adjusting the quick hitch each time.

The 18-22" standard has worked for 50+ years and it still working. When you take in to consideration JD does not manufacture 99% of their CAT 1 implements why should the whole industry redesign their stuff to meet JD's standard.

Just how big is I-Match? Less than 20% of JD compact tractor customers have purchased an I-Match. Consider that JD has around a 18% market share in compact tractors. When you look at the numbers I-Match customers are a very small group in the industry.

The 15" measurement does not work well on full size tractor applications when using 3 point hay tools. It causes clearance with the PTO. Remember this is supposed to be the standard for all CAT 1. The 15" standard is not a better idea, it is a company trying to legislate a market niche for themselves.

We have 7 JD tractors and 3 McCormicks so you can see I'm not against JD just to be against them.

Just received my HF quick hitch yesterday, hooked right up to the tractor. There's 1 1/2" for the lower arm balls to slide into. Between the hooks is 26 1/2", outside the hooks is 29". Of course, neither of my back blades will work with it. It's got a sticker that states that it meets the ASAE standard(s).

Your implements may be based on a limited CAT 1 hitch where the spacing has been reduced from 26" to 24". Most of the sub-compact and gray market tractors need the 24" spacing to mount an implement. So you will see some MFG's box blades and grader blades using the 24" on their lighter duty implements.

The 3 Point standards are shown here: Speeco

My back blade is too narrow, the box scraper is too wide. Both are 5' wide blades, the box scraper is a "heavy duty" model, the back blade is quite a bit lighter, I've already put some bends in part of it.

correction: the box scraper is good, the back blade is too narrow. I saw a picture of a drawbar welded to another back blade, I'll probably do something like that to fix the back blade.

Monte,
See your other post. I posted pics of my mod to the hitch.

Are we talking about I-Match on compacts or full size tractors? You mention Deere's sales statistics for compacts, but talk about why I-Match won't work on full size tractors.
