Talked to my local dealer and they want $2900 for a land pride sb1064 Manuel everything.

Is that a fare price?

I知 still more leaning towards the wood max.

This is for a b2650. After tax the land pride will be over $3000.

That's a tad high. They are $2750.00 at my nearest dealer.

I've been looking at the woodmaxx blower myself for a while, the only part that concerns me is the gearbox being made in China. I have a landpride tiller and the gearbox on it is really built well and all the parts are available years down the road, the price is a little high compared to the woodmaxx but landpride is made in USA, at least my tiller was 7 years ago. If this is something you plan to use a lot in the winter I would go with the landpride, if not the woodmaxx would be good enough. It's a hard choice and I've been thinking about for a couple of years. Let us know what you decide.

Have you tried looking at used? You can find a good deal on a low hour unit sometimes, especially in spring.

I'd lean more towards the land pride I've had good luck with their implements and found them well built. My chinese wood chipper is slowly being rebuilt to north american standards as parts break off or I get frustrated having to repair it every 20 minutes. I keep thinking I should buy a PTO slip clutch for the chipper...

Everything i come across used always seems to be broken for instance i found a land pride rake, i drive all the way to this guys house only to find out that half teeth are missing.

Are land prides really made in the US? Things are usually just assembled.

Try used, lots around New England picked picked up a slightly used Blizzard 48 for $1350.00. Changed the gear oil and greased the pto shaft, just need to buy some spare shear bolts.

I ordered a 50" Braber Equipment Snowblower for my BX2200. I paid $1549 for it 5 years ago, and it was worth every penny. I change the gear oil every other year and it works perfectly.

No complaints, except I wish the paint job was orange... but I can fix that when I am bored with my gravity fed and some painters tape.
