My plan is to put new 3 point arms on the snowblower to make it pull behind, and for the pto I was wondering if I welded it to the hub of the fan on the snowblower.
Would that work.
Thanks for your help.

I don't think typical snow blower fan turns 540 RPM, so you'd need to gear it down somehow, or reduce the engine RPM dramatically. Also, most 3PH snowblowers have an auger pulling the snow to the fan.
Now, a single stage blower (no auger) might work...but I think you'd still need to reduce the PTO speed.

I think everything will be rotating the wrong direction.

Ya could just sit on the hood facing the rear, so when your backing up snowblowing, it wouldn't kill the ole neck....lol...don't think I haven't already thought of doing just that...lol

I am curious why that arrangement would be better .I can only visualize high centered stuck tractors .
The facing backwards you get used to it ,I have spent more hours swathing combining and baling than I am able to add up plus a bit of snow plowing .

I have a 3pt snowblower that I like just fine, but if I could find a rear pull snowblower for the right price, I'd buy it in a minute. They are just the ticket for longer runs. People often raise concerns about driving over the snow first, both in terms of good clean up and traction. Those that have them say it's not a problem on either count. If you regularly get 24"+, then you need an Osh Kosh Truck with an airport blower. Otherwise, count me in for a rear pull.

You gotta picture it Whatswrong.....you would be sitting on your hood facing the 3pt, steering wheel between you legs, legs to short to reach the peddles, because a 3pt snowblower has to be run in reverse.
When I have to turn to watch my tiller or 3pt finish mower, in about 5 minutes, my NECK is Killing me......I was Kidding Malachi....
Now, your swather......your facing forward, so your not Killing your neck.....Get it now....lmao
I'm not trying to be a "SmartButt" with ya...lol
