Just got my 3 pt. disk back together after total overhaul. All new axles, bearings, sand blasd paint, new bolts etc. Three of the gangs spin like a top but one has a wobble and the bearing was making a popping sound when I free wheeled it. After close inspection, I noticed that the flangetts were popping as they moved on the outer race of the bearing. I then notice the entire gang had a wobble. As I said earlier, I used 4 new axles. I must say I did not look down each one to make sure they were true, but I made the assumption that they were. I plan to take that gang apart and scrutinize the axle. Only issue is:
When I purchased the disk, one of the gangs wobbled and one bearing on that gang was out. Im beginning to wonder if possibly one of the spools is not true and it was causing the original problem, and is now possibly causing my problem. IS THERE ANY REASON A GANG SHOULD WOBBLE WHEN SPINNING OTHER THAN A BENT AXLE ????
