3 pt hitch carrier pictures

Looking for ideas for a 3 pt hitch carrier to carry firewood and a place for chains,tools and saws.Anybody have any pictures they may want to share ? Thanks Ed

I recommend a set of 3PH pallet forks. They would be way more versatile. You can stack the wood on pallets and move it easily. You can build a custom skid to haul your chain saw and tools. I have a old tool box off a truck I throw on my forks to haul the saw and mauls in sometimes.

Here is mine. TSC carry all frame good for 1000 lbs.

I built this one, mostly to haul wood. Use a QH so it's easy to sit down in the shop full of wood.








Survived my shop fire and still in use.

Just buy a Carryall at TSC or on line and put a pallet on the bottom of it. Thanks what I did, but I also affixed sides to mine. For what you're doing, you probably don't need sides.

I bought at auction. Home made (not by me). Made out 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1/4" wall tubing. The bottom fork tubes were heavily rusted fro setting on the ground. I welded 1/4" flat stock to them. The uprights were bowed from carrying something too heavy. I had some 2 x2 x 3/8 angle iron that I clamped on with C clamps and got most of the bow out then welded them on. The pin holes were all 1/2". I drilled them bigger and got some hitch pins from TSC. The lower ones I had add bushing to get to CAT2 (I did not have a big enough drill). Then finally painted with a rattle can of JD green.

I built one out of 1.5x4 steel tube and used extruded metal on the bottom and sides. Originally was going to use it to carry a salt/sand spreader, but never ended up using it.

My purpose was that Ihave a Kubota L305 that I will be using to snake in around my woods where I cannot get with my tractor and trailer.I selective cut my wood and/or cut dead elm and down trees for my outside wood boiler.Cannot carry a whole lot with that tractor but would like to have all my cables,saws,gas,oil peavy etc situated so that I can keep everything on trhe carrier when not in use and have some place for everything when I have wood on it.Plus with my hills I will need a four sided carrier so I do not lose wood going uphill.

I also plan on putting a Harbor freight winch on the front of the tractor so when I am cutting at the edge of my swamp I can keep the trees from falling the wrong way.I also have areas that the trees are very close and spindly and would like to thin those areas.I can cut some trees and they will not fall because of the tops preventing them to fall hence if I stay a save distance I can winh them over without having to cut excessive numbers where I want to thin.

Another idea I have had on the carrier is to put a couple of HD pivoting wheels on the back of it when going uphill.I can lower the carrier down to the wheels and not worry about losing steering going uphill.Also like the idea of the pvc for the handled tools.Will probably use "C" channel around the sides so I can make the sides and back easily removable.

This is a pic of mine,

Made from 2x2x1/4" square tub, 2x2 x 3/16" angle and 1/4" x 2" flat stock.



I welded 2x2 angle to the 2x2sq tube and notched the angles so Chain Hooks into the SLOTS I cut into the Angles. This helped out using it for Brush and Dragging Logs out as I can hook chain across the tubes and roll log onto it and lift it up with a short chain to pull with.
