Hello and thanks in advance for the help.
I recently bought my 3010 plus a backhoe and rear mount snowblower. I was surprised to discover the blower did not come with the 3pt hitch pins. Furthermore, the pins used on the backhoe are too short to install the blower.
No problem - I measured the requirements of the blower lower pins (being 3 3/8" of an inch long, needing 7/8" of spacers in between), and went off to an implement dealer, only to discover that pins seem to be available in 3 and 4" varieties. Plus spacers are available in 1 3/4" lengths.
Looking at the mechanics of the situation, I figure you don't want the implement (the blower in my case) to slosh back and forth much, suggesting a snug fit is desired for the 3 pt hitch and the yoke(s) on the blower. Similarly, having the pin too long (by about 7/8" in this case) doesn't stike me as being too good as it will lead to stress on the lynch pin.
So, should I administer a hacksaw and file to my pins, find another implement dealer (with different pins), or is this the way its supposed to be?
Thanks
