Greetings,

The 3-pt lift arms on my 5030C only move from the top to about 1/4 of the way down. I can't get them to go any lower which makes it tough to change implements.

Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had/solved this problem?

Thank you for your time,

HCF

Have you checked the draft lever. Is it positioned correctly to allow for full down range?

ATP,

Thank you for the prompt reply. The draft lever is all the way down, as it has been for over a year.

Also, I tried adjusting the lowering speed knob to both extremes with no luck, and checked the hydraulic oil which is clean and at the appropriate level. Both of the rear remotes are in default position.

Humm....Weird. My draft control has to be all the way up. If I have no weight on the arms I do have to stand on them to drop them.

I don't remember the proper name for it but there's a small lever on the RH console with a green button. The function is to lift the implement all the way up then drop it down to the preset height set by the 3pt lever. Click the green button and make sure the short lever is in the forward position.

JLinder,
Earlier today I was looking through all the exploded diagrams in the parts book and found the lever you mentioned. It is excruciatingly embarrassing to admit that it was the problem. I haven't used that lever for months but I probably absent-mindedly locked it in the up position.
Many thanks to you and ATP for taking the time to write and offer your assistance.

Same thing happened to me after my neighbor borrowed my 5030. Took about 2hrs to figure it out.

PatMcD,
Thanks - nice to know I'm not the only one. There was someone else driving the tractor, but it could easily be myself that locked that lever.

I use the green T-Handle frequently on my P7010C. Are you guys using the position lever to raise and lower? The intent of the auto lever is when you raise and lower it goes to the same position every time, based on where the position lever is placed.
