I have a Mahindra 6000 with a ML260 loader. Recently my 3 pt won't lift a heavy load unless I bump the FEL control valve between raise & float. Every time that I move it between raise & float it will lift a round bale 6 inches or so. With a light load (400 lbs) it goes up and down fine. The FEL will lift a round bale with no problem. I also noticed that I had to kind of pump the remote hydraulic lever to raise the height of my 10' shredder. I have changed or cleaned all of the hydraulic filters, screens & fluid. The loader has a Sauer Danfuss control. I would really appreciate any help with this problem. Thanks in advance.

Can you pick up the rated load? Did you remove the relief valve and clean it.
If you have a gage, you can check the pressure at the IN port of the FEL valve.
Raise the 3pt lever until the relief registers the relief pressure. If it doesn't get to the relief pressure, you know something is not right. It is probably set the same as the FEL pressure, so if the FEL relief is at say 2500 psi, then the 3pt should also relieve at 2500 psi. Does the 3pt descend over night.
The 3pt cyl seals might be worn, or debris in the relief valve.

I checked the relief valve under the seat & it looked good. I don't know if the 3pt will hold overnight, I don't think that it did when it was new. The tractor has around 600 hrs on it. This is my dad's tractor & it's at his farm on the other side of town. He is 83 & he uses this tractor to put hay out. I'm trying to fix it for him so we don't have to take it to the shop. The heaviest load I have to put on it is a 5 X 6 round bale & it will lift it with the 3 point if I play with the FEL float as described. I can also lift the bale with the FEL with a clip on spear that puts it out there pretty far. I went to TSC to rig up a gauge but they were out of everything that I needed so I will try to get it somewhere else tomorrow. After reading some other posts I am thinking about taking the FEL valve apart & cleaning it. I appreciate the help.
