Because all the dimentions change, that really isn't a practical thing.
You could stick a cat 1 quick hitch on a cat 2 tractor, with the shim sleeves it would work on most. And, you can put a cat 2 quick hitch on most cat 1 tractors, by using smaller pins than the quick hitch came with. This would leave a lot of slop & wear in the quick hitch, unless you got shims that fit - would need 6 short ones.
Some old quick hitches actually can be taken apart & rebolted to the next size - this is typically for cat 2/ cat 3 sizes, as they have the 'narrow' options which makes so much stuff cross-compatable. But, you need to take off, dismantle, reassember, & put back on.
I don't see any easy way to make a quickhitch reconfigure itself on the fly.
Pat's Easy system, with Cat 2 bolted on the arms might be as close as you get. Use the shims on cat 1 stuff. Or does Pat's cat one have enough oversize to squeeze a cat 2 pin into it?
