I just received a Zimmerman 55 gal 3-pt boomless sprayer. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'd like to do some spraying later this week if the rain lets up. PTO pump has chains on it to keep it from spinning. Instructions say hook them to something, but no specifics. What do you typically attach them to?? Unfortunately, tractor is at camp and I'm not, so I can't "figure it out" till I get there and I'll be pressed for time since my son has 5 pm baseball games every nite this week to make up for rainouts earlier in season.

My sprayer came with a 6 roller pto pump and chain. Here are two photos, one of the pump with chain. The other is with the pump installed on my tractor. Some guys prefer using a steel bar. I have not any problems using the chain.

How is the chain attached? Is it bolted to the tractor?

The chain is attached to the pto shield hole with a bolt in my case, but you could use any kind snap on type of connector.

I wrap the chain around the drawbar, works for me, no torque bar is needed
