I was wondering if anyone here is using something like this? Where did you buy it from, price, are you happy with the product? etc...etc...etc..... I thought someone had started a topic on this but I could not find it. Any help or suggestions appreciated

I think I remember seeing one on the Northern Tool website. They're a little pricey though.

I guess they don't carry it anymore. I couldn't find it on their website or the catalog they sent me not too long ago.

Try these folks in N.H. I have one of their loader grapples coming next week. Two of my neighbors have the loader grapple and love them, they are built very stout.

About how much would one of these cost? New...then used?

Another company called "beaver squeaser" makes them for CUTs and skidsteers. I want one just for the name! They can be found online.

I have been looking into building my own 3-pt log grapple, so this thread is near-and-dear to me. I have never heard of the Beaver Squeezer, so this helps my research, too. BTW,
that unit is at http://www.beaversqueezergrapple.com.

In terms of the Northern tool Grapple, it is still listed on their website for $3200 ($2999 in the catalog), but it is the same unit as the Iron & Oak, aka Brave Products, Inc.

I saw a grapple at this year's World AG expo, called Gillison's Tree Grabble. It was $2500 and used 2 cylinders.

In doing my research, I am seeing that bypass arms seem better than non-bypass, and a one cylinder design makes more sense. For 30 hp cuts, it seems that a strong enough unit does not have to weigh more than 500 lb and should be buildable for under $1K. Inputs are welcome.
