I just finished this 3 pth carry all to go on the back of the Mrs's tractor. She does alot of gardening and needed more room to carry " stuff ". I included a little tray to put the small hand tools and seeds. I used 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 1/4 square stock so its plenty rugged for heavy lifting too.

Nice job! Just wondering if you may need a gusset between the horizontal arms and the vertical struts. By adding a gusset on each side this will stiffen up the structure if you ever notice any flexing.

Very creative with the box for the tools!

If you don't mind me asking what is the total material cost?

Thanks!

I did consider gussets but opted to keep it simple and add them later if there was a need. I didnt notice much flexing at all. I left some room to add gussets.

The material I used is stuff I bought several years ago and dont remember what I paid. I havent bought new steel in years. I have a "collection" of scrap steel and usually can come up with what I need without buying new. There is some satisfaction in creating something useful out of junk.:D

Nice job!
Have you thought about putting a set of casters on the gardening tray? That way you can use it as a dolly and move it easilt when full of "gardening stuff":D
