3 rd function issue and Gannon box hydraulics

Hey. I have a Massey 2760. I have a WR Long 3rd function kit. The 4 ports , 2 on each side with Allen wrench adjustment, will leak hydraulic fluid when I first start the tractor. I think the ports were down too tight at first as fluid would squirt out and ports were very tight when removed. I tightened them down best I could but slight leakage when cold. Is this normal or should I tell the dealer.
Second. New Gannon box, the hydraulic scarifies bleed down after maybe an hour. Normal or tell the dealer?
I don’t want to be a pest to the dealer, thanks.

For your first question, I would contact WR Long and ask that question. My understanding is they are eager to help customers.

Second the bleed down of the cylinder is most likely the internal leakage of the control valve. Some leak more than others but is normal to see some degree of cylinder drift.

Not sure followed you on the leak on the Long valve but has pipe thread sealant been applied properly or is that an internal leak. The W R Long valves do carry a great reputation in my area.

Is Allen wrench adjustment On the fittings in the ports? If yes then I presume they banjo bolt style connections. Not familiar with WR Long kit but would certainly confirm the correct fitting style was used.

Since four ports suspect also D03 subplate mounted valve so would also want to confirm plumbing since I question why you would have any pressure at startup unless 3 point or some other functions is operating at startup.

My Kubota Grand's rear valves breakdown that fast. So yes, common. But not right. I've gone through 7 valves trying to have the dealer make it right under warranty but barely have 1 & a half that dont breakdown fast. The loader doesnt budge for weeks. The rear remotes leak down in an hour. Not safe when roading & the impliment comes into contact with the road after a while.

Often implement cylinders are much smaller than a loader cylinder. Because it holds less volume of fluid, the drift will be much faster.

After 7 valves with no improvement maybe you should consider flow reducing valve. You could install at the cylinder you are having issues with and screw it all the way down for roading. The cylinder will hold forever with no external leaks. Then you could adjust the speed of operation when you get to where you need to use the implement.

This is what I put on my Kioti remote valve although for a different reason.

Diameter wise my TnT cylinders are the same size. They are a lot shorter though. Percentage wise an inch on each is different, but will be around the same volume of fluid leakage. But 6-7" or more of travel on the tilt cylinder in an hour is pretty unacceptable. The loader cylinders dont move an inch in weeks.

After all the valves, I've kind of given up on getting Kubota to fix it under warranty. My best valve is #1 & on my toplink. It only leaks down an inch, maybe 2 per hour. I use float heavily on the toplink. It's in float whenever mowing, hitching or unhitching stuff on the QH & sometimes when grading with the LPGS or box blade. I'd be lost without it. Less reliant on float on my tilt cylinder.

Thought about getting a DPOV on my tilt cylinder, which breaks float. Or possibly putting a solenoid valve on the rod end to lock it in place as needed despite the leaky valve but still leave me the option for float when needed. Other projects are higher on my list for time & budget at the moment though.

That makes sense. I did use DPOV on both my tilt cylinders. I was thinking you had pull type implement leaking down. That is why I suggested the flow valve.
