3 Rhinos, 1 Honda, and a Polaris 500 sportsman

My sons and a few friends decided to go riding as School starts soon and wanted the kids to get one last fling. We headed out to the Highlifter park. Being August and a few weeks sense it rained we figured we were going to be fighting dust the whole day. Were we ever wrong. Three Rhinos and the Honda got stuck once each. I'm glad that we had winches on all the Rhinos. It was hot and dry on 80% of the trails but we had a good time even though we got stuck.

Ha! Reminds me of the time we took the 4 wheelers to Wayne NF. There was a puddle in the middle of the trail. My wife went around but I figured "no big deal" and went through the puddle. Well, no, not through it. When I stopped, the front rack was touching the water! Good thing my wife could pull me out!

Am thinking of buying the wife a small side by side. Any one have a recommendation and pricing on 500 cc size machine. Closest Polaris dealer according to website is about 100 miles away. I haven't checked on Yamaha dealers yet. Kubota is outside my price range. I looked at the local New Holland dealer who sells Bennche and the web says assembled in Dallas but it looks like they are Chinese or maybe Korean made machines

Dollar for dollar the Rhinos are absolute tanks by comparison to everything else I've seen. There are "nicer" side by sides, but none I've seen are built any better.

I have just found a 2005 Kubota RTV 900 on Craigslist for $4500. I think I will go look at it tomorrow. It has 900 hours on it but that shouldn't be much of an issue if properly maintained. I have heard of them with 5000 hours and still going strong.

If it is taken care of the 900 Hrs should not be a problem. Sometimes you can find used Rhinos at a decent price but look at them closely!
