If you build a fully enclosed, super duper, best barn every, you will still have mice. Only way to get rid of mice is to kill them faster then they can reproduce. Poison works good. Cats are OK, but in my opinion, it takes too many of them to make any sort of a significant difference.
I only have one in my 30x50 Eddie, she is super good mouser. We have zero mice. The key is not feeding them. She also is hard in the birds. None of them in there either! LUTT

OK ...... I'll be the guy.............. What is a three sided shed. We "ain't got none" in the northeast.

You referring to a shed with an open front maybe.

No matter how you enclose it, you will get mice.

We have a shipping container--mice chewed through the floor.

Mice shewed through the plastic garbage cans the wife uses for horse feed--so we switched to all metal.

Cats, lots of cats.
