Well, I gotta tell ya - my 790 is going on 2 years old now and last year I logged about 100 hours shredding. I would usually pull the bucket off to minimize all the rattling that took place with the FEL.

Well tonight, after checking some torques a geting it all ready for spring, I decided to check the cap screw adjustment on the quick park feature. I never spent anytime messing with this - since I figured I'd never "park" the FEL. Anyway - they were just as they came from the dealer - screwed completely in.

When I checked the adjustment, with the tires a couple inches off the ground, they were about 1/2" away from the mast pad. I adjusted to spec, and IMMEDIATELY noticed smoother FEL operation and less bouncing.

After a quick drive up the driveway (a little bumpy) - there was no rattle.

I can't believe the difference this little adjustment has made - the way I figure it, the whole thng has been rattleing back and forth that 1/2inch for the last 100 hours!!!

Anyway - just thought I'd pass that on - looking forward to putting some quiet hours on it now!!!!

On Edit - does anybady disable the quickpark feature and turn the screw out tight against the mast?

Thanks

Flywheel,

I know on the 300CX the manual says that if you are not using the quick park feature you can tighten them against the mast. I'm pretty sure it's the same on the 300.

I had a similar experience when I first got mine. I was very frustrated by how loose the loader was and all the creaking, rattling and wobbling. I made the adjustment and it fixed everything.

Thanks JBA - did a bunch of searches - I'll bet a lot of folks never have that adjustment properly.

Yeah - my manual says the same thing - I may make a final adjustment - I don't really remove the loader - so if I need to grab a tool to do it, that would be ok....

Thanks again.
