Hi all,
So three months ago I was ready to do the 300 hour service on my TC-45 but then I got tied up with this and that and now I've got 325 on it, so it is *definitely* time to do the service on it. The wife and kids are off on a mini-vacation for a few days this coming week and I'm honey-do list free - now I can get to some of my projects. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
My gripe is the position of the oil dipstick - it is darn near impossible to pull that thing out since I've got a cab on my tractor. I can get it out, but it is difficult with the loader on - too much stuff in the way. I guess I can live with it but it is an annoyance.
My latest battle: I was cutting grass out front the other day with my RDTH72 Bush Hog finish mower when it started making quite the racket, like it had a chain caught around one of the blades. Of course it wasn't that easy. I took off the cover that protects the belt and pulleys and the idler pulley had all but disintegrated and the belt was chewed up too. Eighty bucks and three hours later I managed to thread that #$%^&! belt back on the replacement pulley (which was a BEAR to reattach) and I'm back in business. Good fun.
Wish me luck - I'm going to attempt the hydraulic/oil change later this week.
