Im sure this has been already talked about, but Im doing my 300 hr service soon and the book says to change oil but not the oil filter:eek:
Makes no sense to me. You dont do that in a car or a truck why in your kioti

Also do you guys run your engine first to get it warm before you dump the oil?

Thanks
Ken

No sense in not changing the Oil Filter at the same time.

I think for the small cost of the filter, it's worth it.

Just run it for a few minutes first.

Another vote here for changing the filter.

It is cheap enough to be a no-brainer IMO.:)

The book that came with my DK35 is all screwed up. In one place it says to change oil every 100 hours , and in another it says to do it every 50. It says to change the hydro fluid every 300 hours but on the service chart in the book it shows a change every 200 hours.

I think they had about 3 people writing different sections of the book.

Hah! inside the right side engine cover on my CK30 there is a sticker with yet a different engine oil change interval. I use the maintenance chart and always change the cheap oil filter while I am at it. Warm and freshly run engine but no need to deal with hot oil.

The low and exposed oil drain plugs are a pleasure to deal with.
