3000 hydraulics

Ok, I have been using this site a lot lately and here is another question. How do the hydraulics work on these 3000 Cubs? Does it use the rear-end hydraulics fluid for this, or is there some where to add/change hydraulic fluid on this like a reservoir.

The reason I ask is for two reason. One my power steering is making some kind of loud whining noise every now and then, and two because I want to add a ground hog loader.

The ground hog loader has its own hydraulics actuators, so can I just connect into mine some how?

If you look at the photo his Cub is setup the exact same way as mine with the 3 point and two hydraulic levers.

Unsure of the loader...send the company an email. As far as the the hydraulics, all the hydraulics and PS come from the same system. 75% of the time if you change the hyd filter your problems will go away. Cheapest place to start. (of course check your hyd level if you haven't already) Especially if it's been sitting for awhile, or it has a ding in it to restrict flow. Next step would be to change fluid.
Hopefully this fix will be easier!

Interested in hearing how this loader works on your 3000.....the only thing I would have done differently would be to get a bigger 3000, with more HP and the differential rear lock. I know it makes a difference plowing snow.
The 3-pt is a definite advantage of loading some weight on the back. I know kwik-way used to make a cat "o" weight box, probably others out there as well. I put a drawbar between my arms and loaded it with 50lb barbell weights, worked pretty good.

So does it all come from the trans-axle/rear end? How do you remove air from the system? Basically you are saying change the filter on the rear end and add what fluid is needed. Is that all there is to it.

Thanks for your help. I will put up a post once I bit the bullet and buy the loader.
