Normally I am the kind of person that pixxes you off reminding you " you should Mark that".

I needed me today.

I have been swapping out the power steering on a 3000 ford, Had to swap the whole bolster. Weld vs didn't want to unscrew ( pins). Different length stabilizer.wishbone/radius arms vs knee locations.

I pulled the reservoir to change the original filter that was falling apart. I didn't mark it. It was a true "pain" to remove without crushing. When it let go. Well i didn't remember the orientation. And there are multiple locations.

The one that looks right isn't.
I cant stick it in place as the reservoir is loose and the genny bracket is in the way. etc etc etc.

What should have been 30-45 min is put off till tomorrow and pulling the genny bracket and seeing.

Anyway Monday i get the radiator back Tuesday i get the tie rod boots and should assemble in reasonable time.

Simple things get so complected. GGGGRRrrr

Thanks

on new / odd stuff I sometimes take pics of assemblies.

once you do it a couple times you'll be cool with it.

Yea, Normally I don't have a problem with such.
The Polaroid was the greatest invention ever.

A proper work bench and vice would have been beneficial too.

It would have prevented the pump going one way and the reservoir going the other.
Suddenly.

My own fault.

The wife insisted i sit on my axx and rest today.
I have realized how Tight the oil pressure switch is going to be to boot.

I haven't looked but How many other oil pressure points are there?
Relocating the pressure sw and or adding oil gauge to boot.

Thanks

i don't se why the OP sender is an issue. it's easy to remove or repalce.. and not in too bad a spot.. there is an idiot lamp in the cluster for the oil ..e tc..

I haven't looked at it today.

The OP sender is real close to the PS pump/reservoir.
Defiantly no room to add a T.

I will look when i get back to working on it.

thanks

probably just as close as the genny.. and that is easy to retension...

there is room for a T or a 90 to a remote T.. just gotta think outside the box.. :)

The OP sender will accept a socket. Maybe about 15/16" or so. Easy to remove with a socket with extension on it.

i agree.. and honestly. i've not had any issue on any of my 65+ jobs getting at that oil sender. power steering and genny not withstanding.I keep a spare sender in a drawer above the shelf just in case. i think they are a whopping 8$ or so..

The vent in the reservoir lines up with the protrusion on the pump housing.

I unplugged the OP sender to get a bit more clearance to remove the pump w/o removing gen and bracket. But it may not have been the original.

Pulling the gen bracket makes it easier to RnR. Helps with a fuel pump as well.

Well on this tractor ( PS installed) a Deep well socket may remove the OP sender, the blade types are taller. I think a wrench would be easiest.

I was asked to add a OP gauge.

can still add a t to it and use both..

the flat blade tall connectors are not likethe original button style.
