3000 Twenty Series Tractor Owners Little Help

I was wondering if there is any problems using the tractor in the rain or in snowy weather? My concern is dashboard instruments (Getting wet)? It will be stored in a garage when not in use. I'm new to tractors so this may be a stuiped question. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

I hope not- mine will be living in the weather for a couple of years at least. At some point I'll get a barn built to store all the equipement in.

most likely it was stored outside by the dealer when it's new. paint will fade faster is the main thing i can think of....

If you wanted to cover the tractor to protect it from the elements, what is the best cover/tarp to use? Do any materials 'bleed' their colors?

any thoughts?

use a cover designed as a car cover and avoid tarp or plastic. it has to be able to breath or it will hold moisture in and cause rust.

I am not sure why you didn't ask owners that have been able to have some time on their machines. But as a 4000TEN owner and the 4000 owners I know, no one has ever reported trouble caused by weather. The biggest issue you will have is the tires and hoses. The best thing is to get the tractor out of the sun.

A canopy is about $180 and worth every penney, if you can't keep the tractor in a real shop or garage.
