300CX FEL - Who has the \"thin bucket tab\" ? and

what are you going to do?
-Live with it until it breaks or
-Ask for the update?

I saw the revised part and it is much more tough than the earlier model......which I have.

Hi jjbravo,

I've got the old one... seems to me that I'll just go with what I've got until something happens...

I think to get replacement you actually need to break one, and some have broken for sure, but I've put the loader through a lot so far... no break yet...

Have you inquired about getting the fix without breakage? What did your dealer say? I would just assume have replacements on the shelf, just in case...

Once I can spare the tractor (barn addition). I will call and make an appointment. I am sure 1 bracket will be broken by the time I get to the dealership /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

I'm running 1 new and 1 old currently with the other new in my trunk.

The problem I have with new currently is I can't get the pin out and remove my bucket... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I still have to contact the dealer on this one.

My 3320 is at the dealer now to get them replaced. I had to "push" the issue, they didn't want to do it until the tab broke.... My tractor has now been at the dealer for over a week, the new parts are supposed to be here today or tomorrow. If you are waiting until they break, be prepared for a bit of downtime when they do.. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I am very interested to see if I can get the retaining pins out with the new brackets, I'd kinda like to keep the quick removal function. (just silly that way..)

My dealer knew nothing about the problem until I showed them the other thread. They went on JD's tech bulletin board, and said there is nothing. They then went to the P/N's and said yes, it's been superseded with a new part. They know I'm a good customer and "green throughout", so they asked what I wanted to do. I said that I wasn't sure yet, but please have them in stock if they do break, and they agreed.
Regarding the pin removal, wow. You must have an early one or more probably one built to the edge of tolerance. All the new "fat flange" ones I saw, the pins came out no problem. Sorry for your trouble.

Not me. Mine (400X) broke on its own Sunday. Back pulling the top off a dirt pile, and Bang--the bucket was hanging by one side, bouncing up and down. I thought the other tab was going to snap, but I gently let the bucket down, got the bucket back on the top knuckle on the broken side, and made it back to the barn ok.
