Kubota 3010 HST
I am a new Kubota owner and a new TBN member.

I have a 3010 HST and it otherwise works great. However recently it seems that under similar conditions as prior it 'bogs' down slightly. I notice it when using my power rake and even going up slope with no implement. Not a huge loss of power at all, just noticably difference. It seems it must be fuel related, but I really don't knoe.
Here is what I have checked or though about. I have a full tank of fuel, the fuel is from the same source as I have always used, the hydraulic/trans fluidis at the correct level, and I removed the air filter and operated without it.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Also, I bought a Mobil Deisel Fuel Condition/Fuel Injector Cleaner. Do you think this might help? Thanks.

did you try replacing fuel filter, seems like you are saying it bogs down when requiring the most fuel flow which could point to the fuel filter. not sure how big hill you are talking about but i know mine needs more fuel flow going up steep hill. i'd check fuel line too. or debree in bottom of tank. maybe take off filter and see if strong flow at least to filter too.

Thanks Bob. The filter was changed not too long ago, but I did have problems with debris in the line about 50 hours ago. I thought it was over, because then the tractor stalled completely, but it could be related.

I'm going to pull the filter and open the valve and see if it has full flow. Thanks.

First, forgive me if this sounds too remedial. I don't know you experience level with large hydro tractors, so I will throw out a couple of basics.

What range are you in when this happens? If you are in M or H there may be nothing wrong at all. The hydro does not function like a gas peddle. The more you push down the peddle, the higher the "gear ratio" you are in. So if you are in "M" range with the peddle 1/2 way and the tractor begins to slow down, pushing the peddle down further will only make the tractor bog more. The proper response is to lift the peddle or downshift to a lower range when bogging begins.

This sounds opposite to what it should be, but that is how they work. Again forgive me if this is under-shooting you experience/knowledge level.

Thanks Av8r3400. It is never insulting when someone is trying to assist.

I am familiar with the HST system concept. It turned out that the filter housing had large peices of sediment in it. Probably during the increased uptake of fuel, during increased call for power, the material would restrict flow.

It looks like the same material that was causing my original fuel prblem many hours ago. I removed the sediment, put a cleaner additive in the fuel, and I tryed out my power rake. Things were back to normal in about 15 minutes.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

I also own an L3010 with about the same hours on it. When I go up a steep hill it bogs ocassionally. Unfortunately my back field is all a steep hill:) I considered this normal but worth checking out any way.

What exact filter housing are you referring to? I may have the same problem. What addative did you put in your fuel.

Thanks!
