I have had my 3010 2 weeks today and last night it almost gave me a heart attack. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif I brought the tractor out to grease the backhoe in preparation for the attack on this weekends project list. When I finished greasing my wife suggested we mulch her new flower bed (one of last weekends projects). When I tried to use the FEL I experienced problems with raising and lowering, in fact when I tried to lower it actually went up an 1" until I pushed the lever up into the pressure release setting. I moved 1 bucket of mulch and noticed that the tractor bogged down on a slight rise in my lawn. I dumped the bucket and headed for the barn intending to call the dealer first thing in the morning.

On the way to the barn the tractor stalled on a short but steep inlcine, I was really worried now!! In the middle of the night I woke up with an idea, thought about checking it out (2:30am) but thought better of it and waited until this morning. While I was greasing my 5 year old daughter was watching from the tractor seat (I've been letting her sit on the tractor when it is not running) during this time she moved the 3ph lever to about mid way up which was trying to lift my backhoe.

This morning I checked it out and was right, lowering the 3ph returned everything to normal. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif

The question is could I have caused damage running it like this for about 5 minutes?? and if so what damage?

Doubt you did any damage - maybe the relief valves got a good flushing - but in 5 minutes you can't really hurt it. There's a lot of oil to share the heat. Get some sleep.

You may just want to check the fluid to see if it smells and/or looks burnt. Most likely isn't but better to find out now than later.
