3010 Kubota with 482 frt loader
Just purchase a 3010DT-GTS with the R-4 tires and a Kubota fel. It should arrived tomorrow. I have waited four weeks for this beautiful piece of equipment. I had to sell rent house in order to get it, but also have just inherited an eighteen acre farm with house and barn. Might have paid a little too much for tractor. Sort of late to ask questions now. Tractor cost alone is $13,100 dollars plus cost of fel. No tax after rebate.
My question now is I need a finishing mower. Looking at two of them now. Two questions. Is a 6 ft. mower right for this tractor and which discharge is best, rear or side discharge. I will need to purchase this mower tomorrow and also is it powerful enough to pull a six foot box blade to grade gravel driveway and dirt work. I do appreciate input. Thank you. James

Centell;

Congradulations on your new L3010. It seems to be one of the most popular Kubota models this year. In regards to the rear finish mower questions. Yes your L3010 will have plenty of power for a 6' rear finish mower. I would go with the rear discharge. I think they produce a much cleaner cut. No clumping or windrows unless the grass gets really high. I purchased a new First Choice rear discharge, 3pt finish mower this spring. I can't say enough about the quality of this mower, and at real good prices to. Its almost an exact clone of a Landpride FDR2572, that cost almost twice as much. If you do a search for First Choice here on TBN you'll find a lot of other TBN'ers who will support this praise.

As far as a 6' back blade. I think yuo will find that 6' is a good choice for most implements for your L3010. With the exception a brush hog. A 5'er might work better for you here. I have a New Holland TC29 roughly the same size as your L3010. I run a 5' brush hog, but 6' on most of my other implements. And it handles them just fine

Nice tractor! You'll have no trouble at all with a 6' mower. I have a 6' rear discharge mower and can mow up my 20% grade without hesitation.
