First off thanks to all of you and your posts, Last Fri. looked at a 2005 (2hrs) 3015HST with a 72in belly mower.
First I wanted a test drive. Asked the dealer to run the credit app. but wanted a demo on my property. He said no problem but he would have to be there.
We agreed he could have it here Sat afternoon. On the way home I called the wife to tell her. It was her lunch hour so she had time to look at this and Mahindra's web sites. Guys let me tell you I have the best wife in the world. She said the old Oliver was worn out years ago. You need a new one so call the dealer and tell him it was sold.
Dealer said it would be late Sat. Afternoon because it had to be preped and the deck paint had faded and they wanted to repaint it.
The deck was not repainted. Dealer did say they had to put a new battery in it. Took a short test drive and we did the deal on the kitchen table.
After the dealer left was looking for the manual for the deck and there was none. Called on Monday and was told they would mail me one. Friday I was trying to adjust the guide wheels. (The dealer and I had used the lift to adjust the height on Sat) It was cutting to short.
I had to drive the spindles out with a 3lb. hammer and by the time I got it out I had to grind off the top edges of the spindle to get it off. The only lubricanton on the spindle was the WD40 I had been spraying on this. Hit it with the grease gun and the zerk won't take grease.
This is when I call the dealer and ask about the prep this thing got. Told by the Salesman he would look into it. Waited 2hrs and still had not heard from him.
Replaced the zerk put it back together but had to redrill the hole for the keeper pin because of the mushrooming of the spindle. While doing all this I'm checking ball joints, u-joints and the like. What little grease is on the tractor I'm sure came from the factory. It is very dry like it is a year old.
I call the dealer back and tell him how disappointed I am. He says his Service Mgr is not in today. He will get to the bottom of it tomorrow. I ask about my manual for my deck. They had to order it. (thanks for letting me know after a week)
I had to go through the whole ordeal with the other spindel. I have 7.5 hrs on this thing.
What should I want to hear from this dealer tomorrow? Replace the spindles? Have him come 25 miles to my home and service this thing right?
