3015R more quiet after 50 hour service??

I feel like the engine on my 3015R is more quiet after my 50 hr service, is that possible? I used Rotella T5, so maybe that is making a difference. Also, I filled the oil to the TOP of the markings on the dip stick, is that OK. I could easily drain a little if not.

I use the top marking on my 3725, as the top fill line. The fill amount comes out close to the manual that way.
If you used different weight oil that may have had an effect. I have had engines seem to get a bit quieter after an oil change. I might be imagining it but I don't think so.

I noticed that on mine also. It was quieter after the oil change. Now with 150 hours, it's even more quieter.

I had to do the 50 hour service on the dealer for warranty reasons and he also filled mine to the top mark.

Mine definitely got quieter with its first oil change.

The typical diesel clatter was very obvious - pretty obnoxious actually - starting at about 1900 previously, and now while you can hear it more and more above 2000 it never gets loud even at pto-540 speeds (~2600 on mine if I recall, 3520).

FWIW, the quieting effects of motor oil can be profound...I'm the owner of a '16 Ram 1500 Rebel and it's common knowledge among us Hemi owners that putting in a top-shelf 30-weight oil quiets the Hemi "tick" amazingly well. I never had that valvetrain clatter, but nonetheless, I use Quaker State Ultra Durability 5W-30 and my engine runs very smoothly. I've even had several UOAs done by Blackstone Labs and the reports I get back say I could stretch my OCIs to 11.5K miles if I wanted! I'm not that lazy, so I'm sticking with 10K...so far, no issues at 50K miles on the truck. Good oil does make a difference!
