3016 oops and now won稚 stay running

This weekend, I was using my 3016 HST to clean up a large log pile from a recent land clearing for my barn. While is was pulling out to of the logs from the top of the pile, one of them came over the bucket, hit the FEL and the bounced on the dash before landing on the ground. Thought it was going to hit me but thankfully only my ego was damaged. Now the real problem, when it hit my dash, the tractor immediately died. It will start but not stay running and none of the dash indicator lights (the ones like to glow plug light)will come on and I no longer can hear the hour meter run as I could before when you turn the key in the on position without starting.

Anyone have any clues what I messed up and how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

Probably no one is responding because it would be all guessing on our part.... Sorry... !!!! Could be a bunch of things, shorted wires blew a fuse, cut wires, connectors pulled apart, etc. Hard to guess without actually looking at the tractor... We feel for ya, though..... Main thing is only the tractor and your pride was hurt... not you...

First step is to get the hood open and do a detailed visual inspection of every piece and part that was effected by the deforming of the hood material. If you can visually identify things, start to look for obvious damage such as deformed parts, separated mechanical/electrical connections, cracking of parts, broken fasteners and any indication of wetness or staining that would suggest a fluid leak of any kind.

Once you have sorted all of that out, photograph any deficiencies with your smart phone and post them here so that people have a clue what you saw and what you may be able to do to start trouble shooting or repairing the damage.

There are multiple plugs as well as relays under your dash something could have been jarred loose.hopefully it was something small like that. However if your luck is like mine it won’t be that easy.
Also fully Inspect the engine/ Bay Area for any damage as well as your loader for cracks as well.

I have TYM330. I think that is identical tractor. There are several connectors on the dashboard and could come lose. It will require some disassembly to get to them.

Just a heads up... If it starts fine and shuts off when you turn the key to ' RUN ' from ' Start '... Your tractor has a fuel shut off solenoid that has two coils. The large pull in coil is energized when the key is in the START position and is strong enough to open up the fuel flow to the injection pump. When you move the key to ' RUN ', only the smaller coil is energized and this coil is only strong enough to hold the solenoid valve open to allow the fuel to keep flowing. If your tractor is shutting off, it could be that along with your gauge power this solenoid power is not present to hold the valve open. Still could be a connector, cut wire, shorted wire, blown fuse, etc.... break out your print and your meter...

Thanks guys for the responses. I will be back at the property this weekend for the opening of rifle season and will start to tear into the dash. Hopefully it will something as easy as a plug or connector that has come loose. If not, I will take some pictures and post here. There was no damage to the metal hood, just the plastic dash left of the steering wheel.

Not the same as the TYM. The 3016 is a Mitsubishi.

Problem has been resolved. When the log hit the dash, it broke 2 of the 4 relays mounted just behind the dash. Found the relays at a local auto parts and all is good. Just need to replace the broken dash plastic @ $116 for .25 worth of material and she will back to normal.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Lesson learned with long logs up high.
