I was installing a grapple today and lost a bit of hydraulic fluid. It seems according to the manual that this tractor uses a common sump, so the hydrostatic trans and the hydraulic system use the same reservoir correct? The manual calls for hydraulic transmission fluid to be used. I am assuming this from tractor supply is the correct type? And I am also assuming it is fine to mix this with the factory filled fluid?

It's the right stuff. Yes you may mix it with no problems. Just make sure when you add fluids; don't let foreign material get into your system. I use a funnel with a strainer when adding hydraulic fluid. I'm not saying you must strain it, but my funnel has a built-in strainer with a flexible hose going into the hydraulic reservoir. It comes in handy because the seat makes it hard to access the filler compartment.

Thanks for the advice. I was a bit irked when I pulled the dip stick to check fluid. As I'm wiping the dip stick black paint is coming off the the rubber that seats inside the hole. I'm happy with my tractor but some of the fit and finish does not impress me.
