That is interesting....Missouri does do testing on oils, coolant, etc. There is a handful of engine oils and coolants that can not be purchased in Missouri. The comments on the engine oils state fail to meet on or more of the following are not allowed to sell in Missouri; product contains used oil, is labeled with the wrong viscosity, or contains less than the declared net contents on the label. But I do not know the scoop on the 303 but could be similar reason for the banning of the product. I would be interested to know the reason as well...

No large chain stores are selling 303 fluid right now in Missouri... Not sure whats going on. I went to my local mom and pop place
yesterday and bought 20 jugs... All they had

I would also like to know whats going on.... I been buying this stuff for years for 16.00 to 24.00 for 5 gallon... Our next best options
for 5 gallons jugs is about 40 bucks... Well you can run Dex/Merc universal transmission fluid in most pieces of equipment and machinery
we have. We are able to get the universal trans fluid less than 40 for 5 gallon..........

Here's what my dealer sent back to me about this:

Missouri Department of Agriculture has requirements to protect consumers purchasing lubricants in pre-packaged or bulk containers. It also state an product using “Reclaimed” or Used Oil must be labelled in contrasting color and specified size.

Orschelin 303 what I hear uses reclaimed oil as the base lubricant and was not labelled correctly or didn’t pass MO DoA Testing

Here is Document I Found on Missouri Regulations for Oil Certification Program

Interesting read. I looked up Bullseye, but without doing a lot of additional research its hard to tell if there s actually a problem with the oil, or it it is a trademark infringement leading to the products being pulled off the shelfs. It seems the API has filed cease to do business papers with the courts claiming 5 companies are producing and selling oils with claims there products meet or exceed API standards, without giving API any money for testing. Or thats the way I took it. Is there anything wrong with the oils, or is API just wanting their cut of the profits. I would have to do a lot more research before being convinced one way or the other, which I aint going to do.
