Ok I'm new here and am in need of some advise from ya'll out here. I'm looking @ buying either the Deere 3032e or the Kubota 7800 . Which would fit the bill better? At the same time plan on buying a PTO wood chipper , Brush Hog and furrow plow for simple gardening chores. Both brands have great dealers here in the Charleston WV area . I have a BX 2200 and a BX23 so the lawn mowing and backhoe endloader areas are covered. We have a small farm with 80 acres of hills and woods. Any ideas would be appreciated

Welcome to TBN! Your going to get a few opinions.....but I think you should sit on and drive 'em both and buy the one that fits you best and is well supported by a dealer in your area.....oh....and it should be painted GREEN. :D

I think that 3032e deere has allot to offer for the price...dont know about the bota.

It also accepts all the goodies....

I agree, drive both of them. The biggest difference between the two though is that one will be new (3032e) and one will be used (b7800). Personally I like the 3032e and think you get a lot of bang for the buck, but you have to decided based on your own personal tastes.

Thanks all for the ideas. I need to sell my Ford 1000 first. That keeps my better half happy in the mean time I'll be heading out to the dealers and picking thier brains and set'n in some seats!

pay attention to the control and noise of the hst on the 3032.
Almost bought one but after asking two different dealers if that was normal they tried to push me toward the 20 series. Might be non issue for you but I couldnt see myself trying to keep a constant speed in the field and putting up with that whine for longer than a week.

As others have pointed out, seat time before you buy. I drove all the brands and took me almost six months before I made my choice.

It may have just been the particular tractor you drove. I test drove one of the E series tractors back in June and one of the huge points that I liked about it was the lack of HST whine, I was astounded at how unbelievable quiet it was. Also, I haven't heard much of HST whine being an issue from owners on here.

+1 ....I heard people comment that the 3032e was a quiet hst too. :)

They must have vastly improved it with the newer model because I drove three of them from three different dealers and asked all three why it was so load and they ALL agreed that they were louder than most because it was an economy model made to compete with the lower end lines. Maybe it was just the earlier model. That was about two years ago.
I really wanted a JD and it was the model that was in the price range that would do it but I didnt specificly for the reasons I mentioned.
Maybe they included more sound insulation and added a better cushion valve setup since then but the three I drove would make the "ridiculas transmission" post look like a cadilac.
Glad they fixed it because other than that I liked it.

I tested one and found it to be quite loud. Louder than I would have liked. It sounded exactly like my lawnmower. The 3x20 was much quieter.
