3038e Hydraulic Screen

Anyone with experience know if this tractor has a magnetic hydraulic screen? I serviced my hydraulic oil and all I could see was a normal drain plug with no screen anywhere to be found. I called the dealer and they said, "we do not think it has one"....so I could not get a straight answer out of them. If this tractor does indeed not have one how, does it deal with all the metal shavings being found in our new tractors?

I am not sure but if its like my 2155 its just a plastic screen that catches all the metal and trash in the system. I think that is what most Deeres have. I do not recall the drain plug being magnetic either.

If so, does the plastic screen ever need to be replaced?

hello all, the 3038 has 2 spin on type filters, one is the filter the other is the screen, both need to be changed upon oil change. Mark
