It's come down to this. My local dealer is finally offering an acceptable deal, but only on 3032E machines and 3038E. Originally I thought these were great for the money, but I started researching Kubota and it seems maybe they offer a lot more tractor in comparison to JD.

I want to pull the trigger in the first month of next year, but I am really unsure as to which tractor is better. I have always been a bleed green kind of guy, but even I can't help but notice all the things Kubota offers that JD doesn't.

What do you think folks? Orange or green?

I bought a 3038e earlier this year after looking hard at Kubota and other options. Looking at the features of the orange and green, the differences are not always what they seem. I believe you pick a tractor on the basis of two primary things... How it fits your use, and the dealer. I looked at all the differences and determined that most of the features on the Kubota would not help me in my planned use, and the fit of the seats and, particularly the rocker pedal, was much less user-friendly to me. Neither tractor was perfect, but the JD features simply fit my use better. Both are excellent tractors mechanically, I believe. I also felt my JD dealer offered better service and support.

I like green, but the cost of a tractor is too high to warrant acting only on brand loyalty. Pick the tractor that best fits your tasks and you, and has the best dealer.

I watched a number of the Deere vs kubota you tube videos and the ones Deere produced actually swayed me more towards kubota. Do you want the status/knowing the company used to make the best tractors on the market or do you want more features and Hp for the money even if they don't bring quite the history.

I totally agree on choosing a tractor from a dealer that will build a good relationship with you. Here is what I compare with (and this is coming from a Deere guy)
Kubota/Deere
Steel hood/plastic hood
Whole hood opens/only top of hood opens + removable side panels (quite honestly the Kubota looks much easier to work on/maintain)
Both have hydro trannys
Both you will likely not feel a difference in power @ the PTO
The Kubota has better loader ratings (this is a huge deciding factor for me, you cant have too much loader capacity)
Kubota has fold-able ROPS (another big advantage if you have a clearance limiting garage door to drive under ;) )
Kubota has an in dash fuel gauge, the Deere has it up on the hood which can be covered with dust (I have almost run a 3032E out of fuel due to poor location of the fuel gauge)
Cast iron rear axle vs. Aluminum casting rear axle
Kubota has a quick park FEL, Deere's is not removable, only the bucket is.
To be honest IMHO I would get the Kubota. I would not rule out the Kioti/Mahindra/New Holland, I would also check them out of you have a dealer in your local area. Just my :2cents:

I made the exact same choice 6 months ago..... i looked features over, and decided it was a coin toss between the two,,,,
so, i go to the 2 dealerships that has the 2 tractors,,,, drive them both and talked to the respective salesmen....
after that .... my mind was made... came down to test drive and dealer discussion(personality and parts)...
i have no doubt about my decision.

I just bought a Kubota3800HST after much debate and research.
I looked at some cheap chinese "big bang for your buck " options and realized they wouldn't hold up too well as the years wore on them. (Even though they were made with a lot more metal then John Deere tractors are today) I then went to the JD sales people in my area and they seemed to not have the time for me.
I then went back to Kubota and bought one of their tractors. I am very happy with the descision even though the whole deal was 25k I got a 66 box blade a 3 way blade (forgot the width) a front loader with quick detach bucket. All in all I am very pleased with the deal and the sales people are wonderfull there
at Mesa Tractor In Albuquerque NM
They even drove over to Taxas to get me the tractor I wanted not to bad I would say

But as all else have said and I agree with them ... you need to buy the tractor that fits your needs
Now all I need is that Back hoe attachment and 8500 bucks to pay for it with hahahah

I just bought a 3032e last month - so far a very good machine. It was between a Mahindra max 28 and the John Deere 3032e. I thought the Mahindra was built very well but in the end I went with the Deere for future service and parts.
