31.5 HP CAT Diesel

My 72 ferris 31.5 HP CAT diesel just died while running it full throttle. Pulled the fuel filters to check there痴 fuel, oils good and wasn稚 getting hot. Seemed electrical to me when it shut off. Now it just cranks and won稚 fire. What should I be looking for?

A safety switch or a broken wire, hope you have a wiring diagram. Sounds like the seat switch malfunction since it shut down immediately, if it was fuel you would have noticed lack of power before shutdown. That’s a nice machine!

'72 electrical systems should be fairly simple. If it has an auto shutoff for fuel make sure the actuator didn't fail closed and you're still getting fuel. Otherwise, check the fuel pump and make sure it's pumping fuel. Pretty much that's all that's required. If it died while running and didn't sputter, I'd check the fuel shutoff first. If it sputtered, I'd check the fuel pump first.

Thanks everyone for the input. Ended up being a blown 20A fuse for the fuel solenoid. Back to cutting the grass!
