Ran my L3430 on the road yesterday. In High, the HST tends to slow down a bit going up hills. I did hit one hill where it seemed to slow initially but then picked up a little by increasing the throttle speed. Another steeper hill required Medium to get up smoothly. Ag tires are not the smoothest on asphalt roads.
