3140 water pump rebuild anyone gt a diagram of the pump?

Noticed I was losing coolant and the bearing was rattling on the water pump so I ordered in a rebuild kit for the pump But cant seem to find a diagram for the pump dont want to try to press out the shaft the wrong way and stuff the housing..Any help or advise greatly appreciated as as none of the dealers have a complete pump and cant say how long it would take to get one

You can go to jdparts.com (free registration) and put in the model #, then go on the alphabetical listing for Pump, water.

Should see the breakdown of the bearing and seal parts by number and decipher which way they move.

Give a shout if that doesn't help.

I tried jd parts last night but found the site wasn"t working properly.Thankyou very much for the image it should be some help not quite as detailed as I would like but it shows assembly order.

Now all I have to do is get it out which is a bit more aqward than I thaught due to the Loader chassis being in the way.

Press the shaft out from back to front. Support the nose of the housing with a piece of pipe just a bit wider then the shaft bearing. Then press on rear of shaft to press it out. Measure how much the shaft sticks out/in of pully before pressing. You will need to press the pully back to original place on new shaft. New shaft can be pressed in by laying pump on back in press and pressing in. Might put just a hint of grease around shaft to help going in. When going back together, use the plastic seal driver that was supplied in kit and support housing on installed shaft. Then press impeller on till just clears the back. Straight edge works good for checking.
