Hey guys,
I just finished putting my 316 back together today. It was almost a complete redo. The engine short block and transmission were left alone. Other than that, every gasket, bearing, seal, bolt, hose, decal (except the deck ones) and most everything electrical was replaced. Couple pics of just how bad it was.
I never took a picture before I started tearing it apart! Too anxious I guess.
The seat is a mess, hence the cover. I going to try and fit my stock 2520 seat to it. I went one size up on the front tires.I think they are going to have to grow on me though. A friend at work painted the seat pan, side covers and hood. I spray bombed everything else.
Anyway comments welcome.:)

Greg

That's great!! I would love (and I mean really love) to find a 318 to buy that require minimal restoration. My parents' neighbor has one, but he ain't selling.

I also would consider your 316 if your selling. BTW, I really like the agri-rib front tires. They really enhance the look of the machine.

Thanks for the compliment John. I stated the front tires would have to grow on me. I like them more each day.:)
I had an old Speedex tractor that I used to cut the grass around the house (low branched fruit trees) where the ROPS of the 2520 would interfere. I also used it with my Trac Vac lawn vac in the fall. Parts for that thing were far to none,so I sold it and decided to get an older JD,hence the 316. What started out to be fixing one oil leak and a couple hydraulic lines ended up with what is pictured. I never intended to go that far,but glad I did.:)
I guess what I'm saying is,it's not for sale at this time.

BTW,I have a sister that lives in Carowinds.
