I had to put tire chains on the front tires on my craftsman LT 1000 to prevent the tires from pushing up the snow, and not spinning, I was wondering why even with the blade up, the tractor would not move far without digging big ruts in the grass, well, THAT was it.. I have V-Bar chains on the rear tires, and 160 LBS. of weights mounted on the rear fenders, btw.. I'm sure this has to do with the snow being higher than the center line of the axles..

Really wondering how much snow the 322 will handle. Would have worked out fine last year as we did not get much snow all at once much to my disappointment. If I get in too deep I have another option or two.

My 322 will be taking over the winter plowing this year. 318 will be a mower and leaf collection only machine. I have been plowing with the 318, same tractor different engine. Run turf tires with 2 link ladder chains on the rear, 50lb wheel weithts, and a 42lb suitcase weight hung on a receiver hitch. I have no problem with 6” of snow. 175’ drive and parking for about 8 vehicles. When you use some down pressure to scrape, steering is done with the brakes. I will be adding a lot more weight this year. Anything over 6” I use a 3pt blower on a lager tractor, it’s much faster.
Lots of attachments for these 300 series garden tractors. Here’s a couple of summer uses.

that's a garden tractor, designed for pulling/pushing implements. a lawn tractor couldn't hold a candle to a garden tractor..

In the 70's we called them lawn mowers.. We called a John Deere 4020 a tractor..

Amvcane, that is a good looking 322, wonder if I could put a 3pt hitch on mine? Are you able to store everything inside, that is my problem now.

Dan, yes you can put a 3pt on your tractor. I found mine used locally. It took some time for them to come up for sale. You can also buy one from Reugg. They make a very good very well reviewed 3pt for that tractor.
I store all my tractors and implements inside except for the Briny disk. Even the 54” blade goes high up on a shelf for the summer. I see a lot of garage doors and buildings in the background of your pics, I’m sure you can find some room. Even if just under the overhang. Good luck with the tractor and enjoy it.
