My daughter mowed while I was out of town and told me the low fuel light stayed on. I filled it to the top today and the light still stayed on. Does anyone know how this operates? Maybe a bad switch or could a loose wire cause it? Is there anywhere that a wiring diagram can be downloaded? Thanks,

Bob B.

Hey Bob,

Looks like a simple switch in the tank.
OK, nothings ever simple!
Here's a tank picture and schematic.
The component labeled with a 7 is the sending unit.

Good Luck,
Curt

Thanks, that's the info I needed. BTW, where did you find the schematic PDF file?

On my tractor, the low fuel indicator comes on under two conditions... low fuel and when I've filled the tank absolutely to the top, all the way to the inlet neck... have to run it a while before the light goes out.... interesting, but not fatal... your light experience may vary:D

Hi Bob,

Here's a link to the IHRegistry, a site with tons of great Cub info.

I feel stupid. I found that website with the list of wiring diagrams earlier but didn't scroll to the right side where the download link is shown. At the time I thought how dumb that they listed them all with no link to them.

Thanks,
Bob B.
